The Daniel Webster Inn – Sandwich MA

We had a great time at the Cape over Thanksgiving. We went to the Daniel Webster Inn in Sandwich on Friday the 26th.

It was pretty disappointing in general. I remember being so into that place as a kid, always desperate to go there. The service was absolutely terrible. The food was MEH at best. And their tap selection was poor. So we were not impressed.

Also. The ChowderKids were cranky that there was no clam chowder, just lobster. Which was “a 70″ according to ChowderGirl.

The good news? The fireplace was spectacular!

We always love The Parrot and it is nearly always fantastic. The chowder is almost always perfect. It’s good enough that there’s really no reason to get specific about it today.

Consistently fun time was had by all. While some of us had the clam chowder, ChowderGranddad and ChowderDad were over the moon about the fish chowder.

It has inspired ChowderDad to try it whenever he has the chance. And to ask me to try to make it myself. Maybe…

And now to humiliate ChowderGranddad. He was drinking pink things.

 
 But then again…

So was I.
